Sam Adam's Summer Ale clone
    -
Can anyone help me make something like this? I really don't need it to be exactly the same. I just want something good and light like it is for the summer months. With some lemon zest. I dont even know what the grains of paradise taste like but I do have them.

So my wheat is unmalted. Think I could get away with doing just 60/40 or so golden promise to unmalted wheat in the mash to get conversion. Then use just tett or tett plus another hop? Then kind of use their scheme for the lemon zest and stuff?
I know it wouldn't be an exact match to what they make but I really don't care to match it exactly. I mean I can buy it at kroger. Think that would make for good beer?
Also, me being a newb. How hard is it going to be for me to avoid some off flavor in such a light beer?

Don't worry about it being an exact match. Make your own version off of the concept. A better summer beer in my opinion is bell's Oberon. That's a damn good beer if you can find it. When I ca. Get the computer from my daughter tonight I'll look at this and the rye recipe and post my own though understand the rye is in tested at this time

awesome. I am gonna try to do something like this Saturday then.
