Do you brew extract or partial-mash? Found a recipe you want to brew but it's all grain? Post a link to the recipe and request your conversion to your brewing method.

Let the rabble here help you out with your recipe conversion, and brew away!

I will start the ball rolling...

I have never brewed any way but all grain and have a friend looking for a partial mash conversion of this recipe...

What do you want to do with it? How much grain can you/do you want to mash?

    % LB OZ °L PPG
    65% 14 ~ Great Western Premium 2-Row Malt
    28% 6 ~ Briess DME Golden Light
    3% ~ 10 Crystal 15L
    2% ~ 8 Victory Malt
    1% ~ 4 Wheat Malt

For example here is the malt bill from my partial mash pale ale.

In this case all I did was replace the base grain with DME until I got the total grain bill down to 16 pounds or so.

Ok, I have the principle of it now, figured it was more complex than that!

It can be if yo want it to be.... If you add the DME late then the hop additions will be skewed by the change in boil gravity. I don't worry about it personally.
