My favorite teas are earl grey and oolong. I was lookin to find some extra nice stuff for that rare occasion where the cheapo bags aren't going to cut it.

So, any suggestion? Preferably an amazon source.

I drink tea every morning. The best stuff that i have ever had is from Charleston Tea Plantation. I think it's the only commercial tea plantation in US.
It's awesome stuff, but a little pricey.

Bags are for chumps. I buy tea by the pound at a local coffee place. I use a tea ball. Thousand times better than stale tea in a bag.

I use a tea press, but I used a ball for many years. Theoretically filter papers grab some of the essential oils, but I can't say they I'd be able to tell the difference. The fill your own bag deals are good.

It's a weird one, I like it a lot, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. Twinings makes one that's okay you might be able to find at a grocery store (redish brown box the last time I saw some). Or get some of this and really expense it:

There's a tea shop in the next town over and also one in Pike Place in Seattle that I love. I get loose black teas like Irish Cream, Hazelnut, and Almond Sugar Cookie. Vanilla Cream is outstanding.

i've had a few flavored ones that were good, but most are fake and soapy. the good ones looked like they had dried fruit pieces instead of oils.

I agree but I drink a lot of their Earl Grey because it's the only Earl Grey that I can get loose leaf at the grocery store. I should order some that is better.

It's a black tea that undergoes a different fermentation process than the 'normal' black tea. It's more or less black tea without the astringency. I find the depth of flavors to be more complex as well.

    So far i've had:
    Scottish breakfast blend-very nice.
Earl grey-decent, but i've had better
Earl grey vanilla cream-not my thing. Big vanilla aroma but kinda wimpy on flavor
Some dragon pearls thing-this one was really good. Its like a very fancy oolong.

Valid question, definitely not Twizzlers. I assume licorice root is used in tea.

Its used to sweeten up some tea blends. Couldn't name anything off the top of my head, though.

I like tea with licorice. I haven't found one with enough minty licorice yet. It's probably one of those flavors that isnt enough until its too much.

Licorice, anise, fennel, and a bunch of other seeds and roots have the same flavor

Went with a vendor called harney & sons. A little pricey, bit all pf the six types i got are really good.

The Paris blend is one of the tastiest cups of tea i've ever had.

All three of the sites i've tried have sample sizes you can get. Usually like 5 or 6 cups, loose tea. Haven't been lookin at bags.
