Finally brewed today. It's a hefe. I chose that because it's quick, easy, I had the yeast, and I like 'em.

First off, I had to clean the cobwebs off (literally). So, it begins:

Conical was a Christmas gift several years ago. It's a crime that it sat idle for the last year. I shall repent.

im intrigued by how incredibly full the brew kettle is while boiling... i would end up with jaw dropping boil overs if i ever tried to fill my kettle that full.

Wow. For some reason I always assumed that curly brewed mr. beer no-boil extract kits and drank the batch in a day. He's got a nicer setup than I do. SOB. I must have a conical!

It's sickening, isn't it? I would add this or that over time slowly building it. About the time I was "finished" was shortly before my unexplained hiatus. I'm back, though.

That sounds like a tasty hefe though. I can really like a big range on hefes. Hefe.

My last one (which was my last brew, which was last year) was only 1.040. Very refreshing.

Took a hydro sample tonight. 1.012. About right. SG was 1.054. Solid wheat beer. Tastes good, a little phenolic, but that was because of some temp-control issues about 4 days into ferment. Still tastes good. I'll probably drink it.
