Trappistes Rochefort 8
-
This beer poured a light brown color, with a thin lacy brown head. The flavors were very light and subtle, particularly when compared to beers in the ABT 12 category. This beer is a very mild mannered Belgian. The big esters and rock your world flavor bouquets are all but absent. With careful consideration one can certainly taste the roots of this beer, but they are mostly covered up by a seltzer like quality. Undoubtedly the thin body, light alcohol and high carbonation add up to a beer which is highly sessionable, but lacks most of the character one is usually searching for from a Trappist ale.

yeah.... 8 is a bit wimpy... the 10 is better, still a little light in flavor.
Attenuation is unbelievable... and makes them seem much smaller than they areNever attribute to malice, that which can adequately be explained by stupidity.
