MLT temp monitoring?

    Would this work to monitor MLT temps? I have and extreme cooler MLT and figure maybe I can drill a hole through the lid to run the wire through then velcro the unit on the top of the lid maybe.

    It will work, you just need to waterproof the wire, the probe itself is waterproof, but moisture can get inside the probe from the back side of it along the braid, there is a how to online somewhere for waterproofing the wire using silicone fish tank air hose and a couple o-rings.

    I had a probe like that early on in my brewing, it wigged out from the humidity and started reading off, couldn't figure why my beers were all too dry, it was the result of low mash temps caused by a faulty digital thermometer.

    I ruined two thermometers by not waterproofing.

    I just ordered it. 16 seemed cheap enough. Now to figure out how to waterproof....
