You cant see it in this pic, but there is a line of hops in the back of the garden. It starts where the ground looks a little broken on the right and ends about five feed out of the picture. I'll update when there is something to be seen

I can't figure out what he's doing wrong either. My best guess is the soil is off in some way, but that's just a guess, and not even that great of one... oh well first year plants just need to grow roots, as long as you don't kill them they'll be better next year. -

I have them in the ground, no buckets. There is a mesh tarp which cuts down the most intense sun of the day. The rest of the time they are getting direct sun.
