Holy hops batman! This is going to be a good one I think. I just plugged the recipe from the Austin Homebrew direction into BS and the first thing that has me worried is the 211 IBU's. It's their recipe so I guess it will be ok.

Wow .... the hops will cost twice what the grain will!Never attribute to malice, that which can adequately be explained by stupidity.

@scoob i think you said you have a clone of this as well. curious how the AHS stacks up.

Just did a quick scan and its pretty close.

Eww. That's enough IBU's for to last me a whole year.

diminishing returns, that first hop addition is not going to yield 150 IBU
but it's gonna be damn hoppy and bitter.

I highly doubt a beer can be above 100 ibu's without some crazy extract things.

Yeah...I don't know if it's a literal 100+ ibu beer but it is one of the hoppiest beers I've ever drank. ic an't compare to the original since I don't live on the left coast. My friend that came over said he was in CA visiting a friend and they went to a bar that was serving flights of pliny the younger and pliny the elder. When they showed up it was three hour wait to get a flight. -
