What is a good Starter Gravity

    Want to make a big starter to prop some yeast. What would be a good OG for this?

    i've always gone about 1.030 when i culture from the bottles. i think the general consensus is under 1.040 to keep the yeast from getting stressed. i don't see the point of less than 1.030
