    You cant see it in this pic, but there is a line of hops in the back of the garden. It starts where the ground looks a little broken on the right and ends about five feed out of the picture. I'll update when there is something to be seenimage

    I can't figure out what he's doing wrong either. My best guess is the soil is off in some way, but that's just a guess, and not even that great of one... oh well first year plants just need to grow roots, as long as you don't kill them they'll be better next year.

    Oh, I should take a pic of mine. They half pulled down my trellis, it's not good at all. I'll be working on that this weekend. But half of them have nice fat cones already.

    mine are in buckets and are still 12 ft tall. (stunted only by the height of my roof.)

    I have them in the ground, no buckets. There is a mesh tarp which cuts down the most intense sun of the day. The rest of the time they are getting direct sun.

    But they havent died. So thats good.
