First brew day on the new rig
    -
So, it has been long awaited, but it is now time. I am missing a few pieces, but this is homebrew after all. I have charged the MLT with 10 gallons of water and the HLT with 8 gallons and am heating the water to 166 in the MLT and 168 in the HLT.
 -
Weighed out the grains and they are now going through the mill
 -
And waiting for water to hit strike temp
 -
Ok, so we are still waiting for water to heat up. Both tuns are about 152 and need to be at 166 for dough in. So, I came upstairs to catch some of the football game. I need a TV in the basement
 -
Still waiting on water to come up to temp. MLT is at 162. This might be a boring brew for most of y'all
 -
OK, so we had the dough in, it was about 15 minutes ago.
 -
Okee doke, here is what we watch for an hour
 -
So, an hour went by and I have upped the PID controller to 168 and am just waiting..... again
 -
168 hit and now waiting 10 minutes
 -
Performed the pump out and sparge.
 -
It really was just turning a few valves, here is the draining of the sparge into the boiler.
 -
Boil started so we added our first hop addition
 -
One hour later we pumped from the boiler to the fermenter. We use an old chill plate for a soda pop gun. I am soon to convert it to a CFC with a water inlet going through 3 of the 5 runs inside the plate.
 -
This rig is nice! Any more videos or should I just watch these again?
