This question came up in a different discussion, but I thought I would post the answers in a new thread.

Being one for efficiency, i'll post links to the answers rather than copying content.

The formulas for caloric content can be found here http://hbd.org/ensmingr/

a fairly handy calculator is here http://www.mrgoodbeer.com/carb-cal.shtml

Awesome! Now I can drink excessively and know exactly how bad it messed up my "diet." ;)

Nice. It turned out a little lower than I thought for the beer I've been drinking on. Still pretty high, though.

I used to do the calcs by hand..... not on every batch, but on "bigger" beers...
I ended up including it in my spreadsheet that use for recipe formulation. Not real useful for anything, but cool to know!
    (and often a little disturbing...)

Sweet, now I can be sure I'm getting the necessary calories during Lent. I think I'll try fasting like a Monk.
