Goes great on the grill, served sandwich style, with an herb mayo spread and some avacado

In the moment of the actual catch i had no idea what to do with it, how to prepare or even properly clean a ray, so rather than randomly butcher this amazing creature I set it free. but not before getting a few pics.

when i was down in florida last year, i was out fishing in the surf and a few of those were swimming around my legs. amazing to watch something essentially fly underwater. supremely graceful. bastards did't bite my bait though

speaking of flying, we saw a flying fish right around the time that sunset picture was taken. the thing flew right over the bow of the boat. I'd only seen them from a distance before. It couldn't have been more than 15 ft away. Really cool. Way too fast to grab the camera and take a pic though.
