    How long can you keep unused LME? I have a receipe that called for liquid wheat extract, but 1 lb. I could only get 3 lb jars. I put the unused portion in the original milk jug in the fridge. Does anyone have experience with storing LME?

    If stored without any introduction of undesireables it should last 6mo easily. DME can be stored much longer, but you should be fine for much of the remainder of the year.

    I store lme in the fridge. I store dme in vacuum sealed packaves in the freezer.

    back in the early days i used LME and then a year later found a jug of it in the back of the supplies cabinet. tossed it into a kitchen sink style brew and it turned out just fine.

    Yup..... keep it in the fridge, it'll be fine for a while.
