    Have you ever had sourwood honey? I like it. It is lighter colored than to tulip poplar honey quite common to this area. I'm no mazer(isn't that what a mead maker is called), but I think it would be good. Maybe even with a very, very, very light vanilla bean infusion.

    I was thinking about combining it with peach juice. And then using it to get drunk.

    I have never had enough of it to make mead, but I bet it would be amazing

    I found a fruit stand that has half gallon honey containers for $11. Peaches and honey not a good idea?

    If you really want to go with the peaches, use a really cheap honey ... the fruit will just cover up all the awesome subtle goodness of the sourwood stuff ... just my opinion ...

    It certainly is. I paid 120 for 5 gallons. And I think that is bakers honey or something. Not really top quality stuff. Still good honey in the grand scheme or grocery story sugar waters, but mid grade honey nonetheless.
