I'm terrible at tasting warm, flat beer and being able to taste much. Neither was particularly bad. I didn't gag or anything. I didn't really get a sour taste. But this is a pelicule (sp?) for sure, right? Should I keg it?

This is the WGV that I used the suspect yeast on. It took a couple days to take off and I ended up pitching dry yeast. I think that might have been the problem.

This and is it worth your time to keg something that in a few weeks you decide is nasty enough to not drink. Time is money and your time is valuable. I would dump and write it off.

Bottle it instead of kegging, then just pitch the bottles as you go.

It might turn out ok if it sours, if it tastes like bile though.....

Use the bottles for target practice.

My only ting here is more time spent bottling something that might suck. The time it takes to bottle you could have a new batch going.

I'd grab a 2l plastic bottle, fill it up and force carb it (go buy a carb cap if you don't have one) chill it and drink it. If you like it enough to drink the 2l in one night, then keg it. If you don't like it enough to get through a few pints its probably not worth kegging.

So I dumped one bucket. Then I felt like I was murdering puppies, so I kegged the other bucket. I think I dumped the bucket that had higher FG. The one I kept was S-05 with a FG of 1.004 or something.

I tasted it again. I can't taste any sour, just a slight bitterness that feels like the hops. But I can't be sure. Either way that keg is getting torn down when it's emptied. Also, is an overnight bleach soak enough for the buckets?

As long as the bucket is cleaned and there are no deep scratches in it 5 min of 10% bleach will kill anything. Overnight is good too, just make sure the Cl smell is out of the plastic before using them again.

I asked the LHBS guy about this same problem I had, he recommended against the bleach solution as it's hard to get the smell out. He recommended filling the bucket with Star San.

From a guy who sells sanstar and not bleach.... It will take some time to get the smell out, but it'll come out. It'll take more time the colder it is so if your in a hurry put it next to a radiator.

I'm drinking this now. It's thin. Like weird thin. I'm reading that thin mouthfeel is an indication of infection. Not really any off flavors, frankly not a ton of flavor period. It's very meh.
