Spaten Optimator Munich

I'm not really sure what group to put this beer in. I'll research that...
It reminds me of a heavier version on the Spaten O'fest.

Apperence: Darker than I expected, but very clear.

Smell: Not a terribly aromatic beer. Just a clean, inviting malty aroma.

Taste. Munich malt. Malty Munich. The label pretty much says it. That's the first think you taste and the last thing you taste. Clean Munich. This could be a SMaSH for all my palate knows.

Mouthfeel: Moderately carbonated to accentuate the clean malt flavor.

Overall: I want to climb into a barrel of this and drink my way out. It is everything I want in a simple beer and nothing else. I will be drinking this again. And trying to brew a clone.

Ah. I did not know that.

Overall my review is terrible. I should have written it as I was drinking it last night. But I think the impression it left is clear.

This is a very very good beer. Love it in the fall. Well I like it any time but this beer screams fall and a chilly night.
