    Last min porter I decided to brew tonight. Left work 30 min early, stopped at the lhbs to get specialty grains on the way home.

    5.5 gal batch, 7 gal pre-boil
    11 lbs 2-row
    1 lb chocolate
    1 lb C20
    .25 lb black patent
    8 oz maltodextrin(boil @10min)
    Mash @150F

    60 min Boil
    1.5 oz N. Brewer @60min (7% AA)

    WL001
    Ferment at 66F

    75% eff
    OG - 1.068
    IBU - 32
    SRM - 34

    I was going to add lactose to make it quite sweet and silky. However, some of my friends are vegan so I subbed in maltodextrin so they would partake.
    There's no starting point. It's just a massive sea of shit to wade through until you find the occasional corn kernel. -DrCurly

    My wife thinks I(we) should add vanilla beans to secondary. Thoughts? I was leaning more towards chipoltle peppers
