howdy, i like to make alcohol. all types. i make lots of beer, cider, wine and many kinds of mead. while i may have a few answers for beer related stuff, others here know far more about that than i do. when i brew i just chunk stuff into the kettle and pay little attention to things like ferm temps. they almost always turn out drinkable, but not fantastic. rarely do i make any beer below about 70 ibu's anyway, so the hops cover some of my lazy errors. i put my energy into the other categories and have made some truly fine meads and ciders.

many folks that make beer have pretty much everything you need to make the other types of booze too, and an empty fermenter takes up just as much room as a full one, you may as well give er a rip. feel free to ask all the questions you might have. no one is born knowing how to make alcohol, we all have to learn.
