This is one of the most interesting ipa's i have had in awhile. the company says they brewed a fairly basic ipa with citra hops, then tosed handfuls of grapefruit rind into the kettle at the end of the boil.

it may be a little too bitter for some of you ladies, but its a pretty tasty beer. strong grapefruit flavor up front, really smacks you in the face and you can tell its not the grapefruit flavor coming from the hops.

the rind marries really nicely with the citra and its a very crisp ipa. i wish i had found this beer when it was 110 degrees mid summer, but its still really delicious right now.

plus, the sixer i bought was bottled at the end of June, so i am looking forward to trying some that fresher. it doesn't taste old at all, just curious how much better it tastes fresh.

i will certainly buy this again.
